Oliver Tarney • Lux Stellarum
The headline piece in this concert celebrating the heavens and stars is Oliver Tarney’s Lux Stellarum. Described as “a rich work, imbued with poise and elegance” and “heady stuff”, this beautiful piece combines the familiar Requiem text with poems in celebration of the night sky to produce a tuneful whole, by turns reflective and exciting.
We combine it with heavenly favourites including Cantique de Jean Racine and Panis Angelicus.
